Nina and Josh got married at one of my favorite venues. If you’ve been following my blog I’m sure you’ll know where I’m talking about! That’s right, BWR.. Can’t get away from there and I’m honestly not trying! They have a great venue that I love working at. I refer them to all of my brides who haven’t booked their venue yet and if you haven’t booked, I suggest you go talk to them!
These guys were a blast to be around. Nina and Josh are both easy going and big-hearted making them a blast to work with. Their engagement photos were shot at their home just down the road from BWR.
They decided they didn’t want to see each other before the big “I do” so instead we did the first touch. They passed each other notes and held hands while both fought back tears.
It was a bit of a warm day. In Florida, even late September can be in the 80s. That didn’t slow this crew down, they partied hard and enjoyed the breeze when it hit.
Nina and Josh got married under the big oak down by the lake. It was a bright and clear day with the smell of flower blooms in the air.
Nina’s gorgeous floral arrangements were by the one and only Southern Style Floral Design Co.
I can’t say I expected the enthusiasm from everyone around when these two finally kissed.
But they all celebrated, standing to cheer and blowing bubbles as everyone ran down the aisle.
Nothing was really posed for these guys! They were just having too much fun to stop it for a few photos. Instead, they played on the swing and goofed off while I snapped. I love being able to step back and document rather than pose.

WeddingWire is one avenue that many of my clients find me and decide whether or not we may be a great fit. This is how I met Christine and Robert. I met Christine in Baldwin Park for her bridal session. This is a session either with just the bride or with both the bride a groom that takes place before the wedding date.
I enjoy utilizing bridal sessions to really focus on artistic and unique concepts that will give my couples wall worthy portraits that will wow every visitor. These sessions also allow for shorter portrait sessions during the big day which can be extra helpful on a tight timeline.
Robert and Christine chose to wed at a gorgeous location near Daytona Florida called Estate on the Halifax. This quiet little garden only minutes from Daytona Beach offers multiple housing options in historic homes on the property. These homes are perfect for photography, full of character and lighting opportunities.
Another amazing feature of this venue is the brick paved paths surrounding multiple koi ponds in the center of the property. That’s not all this place has to offer though! It also boasts a train car with train tracks, a beautiful brick paved bridge, and white chapel.
I was in love with the light we were able to create for Christine and her mother while she was getting ready. The room’s walls where she was getting ready was a beautiful dark wood panel with large windows, we added a large softbox light behind her and used the natural light in front of us to provide this gorgeous glow.
Robert and his party got ready in the train car while Christine dressed in one of the historic homes. We got the two of them together just before the ceremony for a first touch. Estate on the Halifax has so many amazing options for this! We chose the brick archway entrance to the koi ponds.
Robert and Christine married in the chapel surrounded by their friends and family. Robert sang his vows and Christine shared their amazing story of love through all phases which brought everyone to tears. They even rang the church bells on their way out!
This is definitely a wedding for the books. A gorgeous couple whose hearts are full of love and kindness, a venue abound with amazing photography opportunities and a bridal party up for anything!

These two have such a sweet and unique story! They met over an ad on craigslist and a German shepherd. He was moving to Florida from NY and she was looking for a dog. They hit it off right away and were inseparable ever since. They decided to get married in one of my favorite venues, Bridlewood Ranch Gathering Place.
Their theme was simple and rustic, with beautiful place settings and decor. These two and their wedding party were relaxed and just enjoying the day. Having flown in from their new home across the country they were here to simply enjoy life!
Bridlewood was the perfect venue for them. It is nestled down a quiet road in Clermont and full of tall pines. When the sun hits just right it’s like there are magical spotlights on you where ever you go.
Sometimes that small details can be some of the most important. One photo that seems to always be a crowd pleaser is the ring set among the bouquet.
Richard and Sahily chose to swap letters but not see each other before their big moment. This is a perfect alternative to a first look and still evokes some tearful moments.
As always I love..LOVE.. sparkler exits! It is definitely one of my specialties! I go about them a little different than most and rely almost solely on the light emitted from the sparklers giving these images a romantic glow.
Now Sahily didn’t tell me ahead of time, but this girl can tear up the dance floor! I was totally blown away by her moves once the dance floor got hot!
It was a great day full of big laughs and bigger hugs. I look forward to seeing where life takes Richard and Sahily.

This was such a beautiful wedding. Christy and Chuck have been longtime partners, and they knew it was time to finally make it official. This gorgeous couple wanted a casual yet fun wedding to celebrate their love.
Christy and Chuck booked beach homes near the venue just down the road from each other to get ready. I always love seeing the cute places people find to get ready in.
Christy is a gorgeous bride and mother. Her dress was the prettiest hue with just a touch of blush coloring.
This was a shoeless wedding for the ladies, with different hues of blue dresses and bright orange and yellow bouquets they made themselves.
Chuck is a good sport! He put up with all of my silly requests for funny poses with a smile on his face.
It didn’t rain on their parade exactly but it threatened with dark ominous storm clouds hanging over the ceremony site all the way up until the start. It stayed just on the horizon with only little bits of drizzle. So to celebrate the little drizzle at the perfect times we did an umbrella shot. It’s good luck for rain on your wedding day.
We snuck Christy and Chuck out to the beach right at sunset to capture these beautiful images with strobe lighting. This type of shot is not always available if the conditions aren’t just right.

I met Holly and David just hours before their big day. I try to avoid doing that but we had no choice as this was going to be a destination wedding! We did a lot of planning over the phone and I did get to meet Holly’s local friend who was helping her plan.
They chose to get married in Tavares Florida at the City’s Pavilion on the Lake. This is a gorgeous building! It sits literally on stilts over the lake with a grand brick paved pier leading to the twin stairs adorned entrance. The interior doesn’t fall short of expectations either, with yet another set of stairs set against a wall of giant windows opening to the vast waterscape behind the building.
This intimate wedding was flawless down to the last detail. Every little thing shared a special sentiment with Holly and David. I am so honored to have gotten to join in the celebration.
